"It's NOT about ME; it's NOT about YOU" (Ephesians 1:15-23)

A Biblical Introduction First Biblical Building Block to the Transition Process

1. It seems like it could be about the Pastor.

a) We had an official Installation Service

b) We typically have high respect for the office of the Pastor

c) The Pastor provides an important leadership role in the church

But it's not about the pastor.

2. It seems like it should be about the people.

a) We are the members of the church

b) We worship here regularly

c) We provide volunteer leadership in a multitude of ministries

d) We make financial sacrifices to support the church's ministries

So it seems like it should be about us. But it isn't.

3. If it's not about the pastor or the people, then who?

a) This is the Lord's church

b) It's all about Him and His will for us

c) We need to pray for God's wisdom and revelation.

4) And how does this perspective benefit us?

a) It gives us hope (verse 18)

b) It unleashes His power (verse 19)
